Ten Commandments of a Good
Social Animator

A Group member is the most important person in any social  work;

A Group member is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him;

A Group member is not an interruption of our work, he is the purpose of it;

A Group member does us a favor when he is motivated;
we are not doing him a favor by telling him what to do.

A Group member is a part of our work, not an outsider;

A Group member is not a cold statistic; he is a flesh-and-blood human being with feelings and emotions like our own.

A Group member is not someone to argue or match wits with;

A Group member brings us his wants, it is our job to fill those wants;

A Group member is deserving of the most courteous and attentive treatment we can give him;

A Group member is what social animation is based on.
